The article is devoted to the influence of the associative field on the meaning of the lexemes "village" and their dependence on the associative field through analysis in the linguistic and cultural aspect. The analysis of the associative field is given through the study of the historical development of the associative field, which allows us to reveal the features of the creation and consolidation in the history of society.
