Language tools for updating concepts in the polycode text of Russian-language websites of Chinese universities

Linguistic and cultural studies are aimed at finding patterns of concept formation and are conducted in the direction from the semantics of language units to the peculiarities of culture, which allows us to reconstruct the concept through its linguistic and cultural expressions. Now communication on the background of the Internet is a key source for obtaining new vocabulary units, which are linguistic ways of updating the concept in a text with a multiple code. The research is based on theoretical methods with a linguistic and cultural analysis of the discourse of Internet materials and empirical methods with the collection of Internet materials, in our case on the basis of the websites of the Russian-language version of Chinese universities. The paper argues that the websites of the Russian-language version of Chinese universities contain many means of updating concepts in a polycode text, ranging from political, cultural and historical trajectories of development of China and Russia, ending with regional highly specialized events. Accordingly, we were able to investigate the most noticeable and outstanding examples of the implementation of language tools for updating concepts in the polycode text of Russian-language websites of Chinese universities. As a result, it can be noted that the process of updating depends not only on the skill of those people who write texts, but also on the linguistic and cultural foundations on which they relied when writing them.
