Road construction in Gorny Altai in the 1930

The article examines the activities of the road construction industry in Gorny Altai in the 1930s. Based on the involvement of archival data, the state of the regional road network is characterized, the progress of the construction of roads of intra-district significance and the formation of the material and technical base of the industry are highlighted. The role of road service of rural residents in providing road construction with labor is shown. The conclusion is made that the low scale of financial support of the road industry hindered its development.
