"Legal discourse" concept from the point of view of translation studies

The article provides a comparative analysis of the works by Russian and English-speaking researchers in the fields of jurisprudence and linguistics devoted to the problem of legal discourse. The results obtained together with the translator’s cognitive operations when perceiving the source text served the basis for creating a definition for the "legal discourse" concept from the point of view of translation studies.
