Phaseological universals of modern German language as a language implementation of the cultural-national concept

The article offers for consideration how the concept of cultural and national character is realized in the German language, in particular, in phraseological units. The peculiarities of the relationship between language and culture from the point of view of their influence on each other are examined, lines are drawn between the characteristic features of the German nation and phraseological units. While working on the article such features of the German mentality as love of order, thriftiness, punctuality, diligence, caution were highlighted and are reflected in phraseological units.
