Peter Stolyarsky – "the intuitive artist" and his pedagogical principles

The article analyses selected work principles and features of Petr Stolyarsky violin pedagogy class. Range of Stolyarsky’s fundamentally significant pedagogical statements and approaches can be effectively used in theory and practice of music teaching performance disciplines nowadays. Validity of Stolyarsky’s teaching principles emphasize their relevance to today realities [reality challenges]. Selection system specificities for violin class and beginning period, dialogue as mean of student’s creativity enhancement and activization, advantages of individual-group and group form education, teacher’s intuition are highlighted. First contemporary Russian [New Russian] boarding school for talented children is described.
