Lexico-semantic group of verbs of mental activity in the Mansi language

Introduction: On the material of the Mansi language, the LSG of verbs were not previously considered. The article is devoted to the identification and description of the lexico-semantic group (LSG) of verbs of mental activity in the Mansi language, which have not been the object of research until now. The relevance of the research topic is determined, firstly, by the lack of development of the lexicology of the Mansi language, and secondly, by the lack of research devoted to the identification and semantic classification of verbal LSGs. For the first time, the semantics and syntactic compatibility of Mansi verbs of the lexico-semantic group of mental activity are investigated. Objective: to identify the verbs of the Mansi language that make up the LSG of thought activity; to describe the features of semantics and to make their semantic classification. In this regard, the following tasks are solved: 1) to identify the verbs of the Mansi language that make up the LSG of mental activity; 2) set the group IDs and determine its attributes; 3) to identify the internal organization of the LSV of the verb to think and to characterize the semantic interactions between its members; Research materials: verbs of the Mansi language collected by the author from informants and extracted from dictionaries of the Mansi language. The results and scientific novelty are that the verbs of intellectual activity of the Mansi language are being studied for the first time. We have described for the first time the LSG of the verbs of the intellectual activity of the Mansi language, identified the differential features of the semantics of the verbs under study, determined the relationships of these verbs and their combinable features. The results of the research can be used in lexicographic work, teaching lexicology at school, when comparing related and different-structured languages, as well as in the further development of lexical and semantic groups of verbs of the Mansi language.
