Manipulative strategies in the German publicistic discourse

The article emphasizes the manipulative orientation of modern German publicistic discourse. There are given examples proving that statement. By resorting to such manipulative strategies as insinuation, selection, construction, etc., message senders realize their pre-set goals aimed at denigrating the opponent, creating their own positive image, and implementing information warfare.
