The theory and practical aspects of training and research activity as one of the organizational forms of extracurricular activity at school

The article deals the notion of extracurricular activity, forms of its organization, proves the realization’s importance of extracurricular activity as a part of learning process in foreign language, analyzes in detail one of the organizational forms of training and research activity – competition of poetical translation. The author gives theoretical and practical objectivation of competition: providing of learning’s individualization, energy, independence of pupils, competition’s responsibilities, extension of role-based repertory compared to learning process, forms of participation, possibilities for pupils, special aspects of organization and realization of competition for pupils of different ages. The author deals contains of three organizational elements of competition (substantive and objective, organizational and practical, control and evaluative), In conclusion, the author addresses conditions of competition’s efficacy and the importance of this form of extracurricular activity for the personal development of pupils.
