Studying the features of the communicative competences of students with mental underdevelopment

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the communicative competencies of students with a mild degree of intellectual disability. The analysis of scientific and practical literature on the research problem is carried out. Scientific novelty in the development and implementation of a model for studying the communicative competencies of students. The subject of the research is the communicative competence of students with mental underdevelopment. The aim of the study was to study the features of the communicative competencies of students with mental underdevelopment, which determine the originality of social and psychological adaptation. The practical significance lies in conducting a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of the model and following the results of the organization of the pedagogical process, focused on the formation of knowledge about the methods of mastering verbal and non-verbal communication means among students with mental underdevelopment.
