Functional state of adolescents 13-14 years old with various stages of puberty at rest and during mental work

Sukhetski V. K.  (Associate Professor, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno)

The article presents the results indicating that adolescents at the initial stages of puberty have an increased tension of the heart rate regulation systems towards the predominance of the tone of the sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system at rest and excessive psychophysiological reactivity under conditions of intense information load. It has been shown that the realization of mental work was achieved at a higher physiological cost in boys with stages II and III of puberty, in comparison with adolescents of stage IV of puberty. The study found that adolescents with stages II and III of puberty do not have significant differences in the studied vegetative parameters at rest and during cognitive work of varying degrees of complexity, which allows us to assert a certain similarity between boys at the initial stages of puberty. The results obtained must be taken into account when organizing the educational process in a general education school.
