Linguistic representation of the conceptcharity in political and migration discourses

Political discourse is a semiotic space in which actual meanings are realized and the struggle for power is carried out. The author considers the following questions: through what communicative strategies and tactics of Russian politicians, the concept of CHARITY can be represented in political and migration discourses. Migrants and refugees are included in the general socio-cultural and linguistic context of society. A migrant and refugee is a basic social agent and an unconditional participant in a situation of mercy, a person in a difficult social situation, in need of shelter and social reintegration. The modern representation of the migrant image includes not only historical characteristics, but also ideological, political and economic ones. Through their prism, the relations one's «own», «someone else's», «former one's own» are interpreted. The results of the study highlight the situation of charity from three sides: awareness of the moral and ethical duty to help one's neighbor, social service, missionary work, active actions taken by the Russian Orthodox Church to help and assist migrants, wariness, fears on the part of the indigenous population of Russia, as well as attempts by politicians to form attitudes of tolerant consciousness in Russian society.
