Using the project method in the development of patriotic education in the general education system

Based on the studied works, the article discusses the process of using the project method in the development of patriotic education in the system of general education. Today, it is extremely important to strengthen the spirit of patriotism in Russian society as a fundamental category of spiritual and moral value; to lay socially significant qualities in the younger generation. The design method is understood as a generalized model of a certain way to achieve the goal, a system of techniques, a certain technology of cognitive activity. The use of the project method in the educational process contributes to better assimilation of knowledge among schoolchildren, personal development, as well as the formation of their skills to work independently and use different sources of information. This allows them to unite according to their interests, provides a variety of role-playing activities, and contributes to the formation of a personal "I" and citizenship.
