Capabilities of web-resources for training distant listening

The need of active mastering a foreign language explains the requirements to find ways to develop the skills of perceiving foreign language speech by hearing. The use of authentic materials reflecting the cultural identity and naturalness of the communicative situation causes interest and great cognitive activity among students. Increasing the amount of material available allows teachers to expand the search for authentic sources that meet didactic requirements. The article describes the experience of using web-services (as a type of ICT) in the process of training listening skills in foreign language classes of non-language students. Performing distant listening tasks based on Web-services in off-site mode allows to increase and diversify the amount of communication contact listening tasks.
