Proper name as a represrntative of the concept phenomenon: corpus research

The concept PHENOMENON generalizes many ideas about the reality around us, including about a person as a unique person who has manifested himself in any field and left a mark on the history and culture of the people. The study of a proper name that nominates such a person becomes relevant within the framework of modern cognitive science, which reveals the mechanisms of semantic variation of onyms and reveals the mental processes associated with them. The purpose of the work is to reveal the specifics of the use of proper names as representatives of the concept PHENOMENON. Using the corpus method and the oppositional method, the article analyzes the ways of linguistic expression of the concept PHENOMENON in the interpreted authorial contexts recorded in the main subcorpus of the National Corpus of the Russian Language (hereinafter referred to as the NCRL), mainly anthroponyms - the subjects of bisubstantive sentences with the predicate phenomenon. The article shows that the names-phenomena can be such signs, behind which there is a public recognition of the denotations expressed by them; It was revealed that proper names-phenomena, which are representatives of the concept PHENOMENON, enter into opposite relations and are characterized by a number of features that are significant for the representation of the concept.
