Geographic terms used to refer to a lake

The purpose of the study is to determine the features of geographical terms denoting a lake in the eastern dialect of the Tatar language. This article provides examples of generic terms of dialects of the eastern dialect of the Tatar language. A comparative analysis with other dialects and dialects of the Tatar language and other related and unrelated languages ​​is given. The scientific novelty of the study is due to the appeal to the study of the features of the category of geographical terms of the Tatar dialect vocabulary, denoting reservoirs with stagnant water. The geographic terms denoting the lake of the eastern dialect clearly show closeness to the Tatar literary language and its other dialects. The study identified dialect lexemes that relate to the concept of "lake", identified the most frequently used groups of names with phonetic variants of the hydrographic term. As a result of the study of linguistic features, it is substantiated that the dialects of the eastern dialect of the Tatar language are a peculiar element of the Tatar dialect system.
