Etymological analysis in English lessons

Consolidation and enrichment of vocabulary is an important task when learning a foreign language. The clip thinking of modern youth prevents memorization of the material, since images, concepts, etc. remain in memory only for a short period of time, then disappear and are replaced by new ones. The etymological analysis of words allows building semantic connections and develops linguistic and logical thinking among students of non-linguistic and linguistic areas of study. Particular attention is paid to the origin of English borrowings in Russian, which, as a rule, are not recognized as foreign words.
