this article examines the functional role of the units of the lexico-semantic field "Products" in the implementation of the communicative intent of the text. The concepts of the semantic field and units of the lexico-semantic field are characterized. The functioning of the units of the semantic field "Products" in a literary text is investigated, in which the units of this semantic field can act as the main theme, symbol, detail, allusion, participating in the construction of the conceptual meaning of the text and its structure and thus performing a text-forming function.
