Business education: search for approaches to form professional crosscultural foreign language competence

The article theoretically analyzes the experience of teaching business communication to technical students of bachelor and master programs in IBS RANEPA. Barriers to formation of foreign language communicative competence and unprepared speech in particular have been highlighted and researched. It is defined that in order to achieve the goals of education it is necessary to implement integrative approach to studies comprising Business English practical classes with interactive lectures and seminars of “Strategies and Tactics of cross-cultural business cooperation”, “Translation in the system of foreign language competence” and other subjects taught in English. The authors come to the conclusion that the implementation of English language Master programme and Translation course have resulted in the increased quality of student’s foreign language communicative competence.
