The specificity of the figurative characteristics of human intellectual properties in the German language

The article is devoted to the study of the specifics of the secondary nomination, which characterizes the intellectual properties of a person in the German language. The work defines and describes the specifics of using metaphors in the German language that figuratively describe the intellectual properties of a person, which are one of the main characteristics of a person and his inner world. The analysis of lexemes recorded in dictionaries reveals the predominance of metaphorical nominations with a negative assessment of a person. Metaphorical transfer in the selected nominations is carried out according to the following thematic groups: animals, plants, body parts, mechanisms and geographical names.
