Use of allusion in entertainment talk show

The article presents the results of an analysis aimed at establishing the pragmatic effect of allusions used by communicants in Russian entertainment talk shows. In correlation with the position that talk shows, which are part of the media content, contain features of language manipulation in their discursive space, the mechanisms for implementing the communicative intentions of message senders - talk show participants are illustrated. The aim of the study is to establish the mechanisms for the implementation of pragmatic effects with the help of allusions within the framework of a talk show (for example, the talk show “Let them talk”, aired on Channel One (hosts - A. Malakhov, D. Borisov), whose participants are famous personalities or the most ordinary people. As a result, it was found that the allusion, which is a kind of precedent phenomenon, has great pragmatic potential, since it allows you to briefly and concisely express the communicative intention of the sender of the message, which simplifies the perception of the transmitted information by the recipients. The pragmatic effect is enhanced by the stylistic potential of allusions due to the fact that they create brightly colored images.
