In-depth training in wrestling for a mixed martial arts fighter

The ability to fight often plays a key role in winning mixed martial arts, and also allows you to dictate the conditions in where the fight will take place, in a stand or in the stalls (in a prone position on the mat). There are a considerable number of fighters who switch to mixed martial arts without having knowledge of the basics of freestyle wrestling, and want to close the gaps of the missed years in wrestling as quickly as possible. This article discusses the methodology of in-depth training in wrestling for mixed martial arts fighters. Two professional mixed martial arts fighters took part in the experiment, the fundamental basis of which was not wrestling. During the experiment, it was revealed that following this technique, even for a period of 4 weeks, can significantly increase the number of successful transfers to the stalls.
