Features of the semantic development of the lexeme "opération" in discourse (based on the French newspaper Le Figaro)

The present article focuses the features of the semantic development of the lexeme "opération" based on the French dictionaries. Furthermore, the features of the semantic development of the lexeme are analyzed on set of articles devoted to the military Operation Serval1 in the French daily newspaper Le Figaro. The method of component analysis is used to determine the semantic components of the meaning of the analyzed unit. The analysis of the functioning of the lexeme "opération" in French is carried out.
