Distinctive features of the terms “ideologeme” and “concept”

In this article we are talking about two basic terms of linguoculturology — ideologeme and concept. Comparing them in terms of such indicators as form, referent, function, content specificity, social significance and role in culture (cycle of existence), the author proves the difference between ideologeme and concept. Based on the results of the study, the author proposes her own generalized definition of the term “ideologeme”.
