The phenomenon of "political correctness" in the terminology of the American media on the problems of ethnic minorities

The phenomenon of "political correctness" today is a widespread phenomenon that attracts the attention of philologists, both Russian and foreign, since it affects all spheres of society in any state, which determines the relevance of the article. The aim of the study is to analyze the phenomenon of "political correctness" in the terminology of the American media on the problems of ethnic minorities. The study used theoretical and empirical methods of scientific knowledge. Based on the results of the study, the article summarizes politically correct and incorrect lexical units in the texts of modern American media on the problems of ethnic minorities affecting the anti-racist movement "Black Lives Matter", as they are reflected in world culture and the English language. The results obtained allow us to speak about the growing interest of specialists in the terminology of the problem of political correctness in the English language and can be used in subsequent linguistic research.
