Adjective in the text of the fairy tale (based on the material of brothers Grimm’s work " Snow white")

The article is devoted to the classification of the types of adjectives in the text of brothers Grimm’s fairy tale “Snow White” in English. The objectives of the study consisted in: 1) studying the selected material; 2) compiling tables according to the data obtained in the study of the chosen material, which reflect various indicators of the classifications of adjectives; 3) conducting an analysis of comparative structures that help to better understand the meaning of the fairy tale; 4) comparing the text of brothers Grimm’s fairy tale “Snow White” in English with the text of A.S. Pushkin’s fairy tale “The Tale of the Dead Princess and the Seven Knights” in Russian. The work is promising in terms of obtaining relevant theoretical and practical results for linguistic science. The main methods used in the work: 1) a continuous sampling of examples of adjectives from the text of the fairy tale; 2) classification; 3) interpretation.
