Development of ideas of freedom and liberalism in foreign literature

The article analyzes the development of the ideas of liberalism in foreign literature. The reasons for their formation and the main ideas of development. Based on the study of the works of the founders of liberalism, the evolution of the views of researchers of the ideology of liberalism from the moment of its appearance to the understanding of what it has become now is presented.
