Functioning of English-language inclusions in the form of abbreviations in modern translated English-language journalism in Russian

The article is devoted to the functioning of English-language military terms in their original form in texts in English and Russian. Abbreviated terminological units are analyzed. The selection of such terms is undertaken on the basis of translated articles of the InoSMI website and their corresponding articles in the original language for 2021. The studied military terms denote the names of departments, agencies, centers, military equipment, agreements. The analyzed text material allows us to draw conclusions about the general trends in the use of English-language abbreviations in translated English-language journalism in Russian.
