Peasant (farm) farms in the Republic of Altai in the 1990s: features of formation and development

The article considers the process of formation of peasant (farmer) households in the Altai Republic in terms of adaptation to market conditions in the 1990s. The main difficulties of a socio-economic nature that hindered the development of farming in the region are shown. The tendency of strengthening the role of animal husbandry in the economic activity of peasant farms was objectively determined by the natural and economic features of the region.
