Bilingualism as a success factor in learning foreign languages

The article examines the influence of monolingualism and bilingualism on the strategy of teaching foreign languages at universities. Multilingual students outperform their monolingual counterparts by improving cognitive and sensory processing, allowing a bilingual person to better process information in the environment and provide a clearer signal for learning. It also aims to find out whether factors such as ethnicity and language proficiency affect the use of teaching methods.
