Russian diminutives - nouns naming persons against the background of semantic correspondences in Chinese

The aim of the study is a comparative analysis of diminutives naming persons in Russian and Chinese: the process of speech formulation in terms of phonetics and morphology is examined in detail. In addition, the functions of the diminutive forms of words used in Russian and Chinese are analysed. The result of the study points to multiple differences in the two languages. However, when comparing the composition of words and the functions performed by the Russian and Chinese diminutive forms of words, it was found that the development of these forms in the field of semantics reveals linguistic features.
