Cadet education: to the problem of defining the concept

Cadet education is a Russian cultural and educational phenomenon that is almost three hundred years old. It not only prepares personnel for the army, but helps the development of society. Cadet education affects children and young people, preserves culture, creates the personality that society needs. Cadet education in Siberia historically served as a cultural and educational center, participated in the implementation of national policy, created conditions for the formation of the military and civil administration of the region. It develops not only under the influence of state educational policy, but also has its own development factors. The experience of successful and unsuccessful educational reforms shows that any political decisions are mediated by a socio-cultural situation in which the historical and cultural tradition plays an important role. The authors of the article present the results of an analysis of the historical and cultural tradition of the development of cadet education in Siberia.
