Scope of the gastronomic code in the Russian language picture of the world

Gastronomic code is one of the important tools for the development of culture, "encoding" national ideas about the world. In this article, we analyze the scope of the concept of "GASTRONOMIC CODE," identify its place in the Russian language picture of the world using comparative, linguoculturological, seminal and lexical research methods. The scientific novelty of our article is that it reveals the composition and structure of the linguocultural field "Gastronomy" in Russian language material, also defines the boundaries of the concept of "gastronomic code," and establishes the features of the gastronomic code in comparison with culinary and food codes. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the designation of the phenomenon under consideration is a terminological problem: at present, nominations such as the gastronomic, culinary and food code compete in linguoculturology, the scope of which is not specified. The study found that the concept of "gastronomic code" is wider than the rest and therefore includes elements of culinary and food codes.
