Comparison of some linguistic structural and semantic features of Azerbaijani and English folk tales

The article provides a comparative analysis of the structural and semantic features characteristic of the language of Azerbaijani and English folk tales. On the basis of comparison, both common and distinctive moments for these texts are distinguished, the factors that determine universal or inherently unique structural and semantic trends are evaluated. It turns out that there are formulas characteristic of both Azerbaijani and English texts of folk tales, which acquire a structural and semantic design due to phonetic stylistic means of alliteration, assonance, as well as lexical and syntactic parallelism, internal rhyme.
