Akulshin P.   (Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Ryazan State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov)

For the first time in Russian historiography, the article analyzes a previously unknown historical source – the memoirs of N.S. Karinsky (1873–1948), a prominent lawyer of the pre-revolutionary era who played a prominent role during the 1917 revolution and the Civil War. While in exile in the USA, he created an extensive memoir legacy, which has not yet been introduced into scientific circulation. A set of his memoirs was published in the newspaper – «Russian Life», published in San Francisco. It was preserved in the family archive of his descendants in the USA, who gave them to their relative S.S. Karinsky living in Russia in 2015–2018.
