Formation of the image of a "humanitarian" and "technician" in Russian classical literature

The article is devoted to the consideration of the initial stage of the formation of the image of a technician and the image of a humanitarian in Russian literature. The article discusses the concepts of "humanitarian" and "technician", develops criteria for attributing the hero to the image of a humanitarian or the image of a technician. A database of works of Russian classical literature indicative of the mass picture of the world has been created. The works of art written before 1861 are analyzed. Conclusions are drawn about the relativity of the small number and uncertainty of the images of techies, the general negative coloring of the images of humanities.
