Caucasian language union: reality or hypothesis?

The article deals with the problem of the language union it highlights the issue of the existence of the Caucasian language union, which some linguists single out based on the existence of aboriginal Caucasian languages in these territories, which reveal kinship through their genesis. As part of the work, Iranian, Ossetian and Turkic languages, Abkhaz-Adyghe languages, Armenian, Nakh-Dagestan languages, as well as Kartvelian languages are analyzed. As a result of the study, less studied, from a linguistic point of view, aspects in these languages are identified, some pseudoscientific research of researchers is questioned, and a circle of factors indicating that the Caucasian language union has not developed has been outlined.
