On the issue of the nomination of products of traditional dishes in the Khakass language

The article presents the differentiation of the names of products and traditional dishes by motivational aspects from the position of the nomination principles. This layer of vocabulary can be structured according to the following motivational features: names related to the purpose for a certain process or action, names related to the shape and color of products and dishes, names related to the method of preparation. Metaphor occupies a considerable place in the formation of names of dishes. It is concluded that in the nomination of various types of dishes, a motivational sign is widely used, which is based on the purpose for a certain process or action.
