Speech methods of manipulative influence in political discourse

In the process of studying the functioning of language in political discourse, two problems inevitably arise - the language of power and the power of language. They differ as follows: the language of power is what language means and techniques the current government uses, and this is the subject of study of "pure" linguistics. Political discourse, which has a significant impact on the consciousness of the masses, using speech techniques and means, should be studied by political linguistics. The language of a politician should have an impact on the mass consciousness, because the statements of a politician should make up the world of opinions and assessments of recipients, that is, "consumer-listeners" of political discourse. Actually, every skillful politician tries to operate with the main political symbols, rituals and archetypes, consonant with the mass consciousness.
