Semantics of idioms in which they are presented with the colorative "red"

The article deals with the problem of the semantics of phraseological units with the color component “red” in Russian and Chinese. For this, it is important to take into account the lexical and semantic features of Russian and Chinese phraseological units with the color “red”. The study was conducted on the material of 67 Russian and 60 Chinese phraseological units. The analysis showed that phraseological units with the color component “red” in Russian and Chinese cultures have different semantics, and their meanings are not identical.
