SIBERIAN ROUTE ON THE LITERARY MAP OF THE URAL: BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE URAL TRAVELOGUES OF THE XIX CENTURY

The study is devoted to the formation of the image of the Siberian route in the Ural travelogues of the XIX century and the role it played in the literary discovery of the Urals. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the research are related to the understanding of communication media as a message (M. McLuhan) and the idea of literary mapping of space as a way of interpreting the text. As the main transit highway through the Ural Ridge, the Siberian route becomes the constructing topos of the literary space of the Urals, setting its key values: the Perm-Yekaterinburg localization, the mountainous nature of the terrain associated with the pass through the Ural Mountains, the eastern direction of movement and the reputation of the convict route.
