This study examines the specifics of the representation of the linguistic picture of the world by V. Mayakovsky and I. Severyanin through word creation. Based on the material of poetic texts, an analysis of occasional means of expressing a palette of color designations is carried out, ways of explication of the concepts «love» and «music» are compared, similarities and differences in the processes of individual conceptualization of these concepts are revealed. The interrelation of the linguistic organization of the picture of the world of a linguistic personality with the nature of word creation is proved.
