FEATURES OF TRANSLATION OF CONSTRUCTION TERMS FROM ENGLISH TO RUSSIAN

The article aimes to study the key features of the scientific and technical language and the language of the construction industry. The article describes the concepts of "term" and "terminosystem", as well as the process of terminologization. A detailed lexicographic description of the designated concepts is given, on the basis of which the main properties of the terminological lexical unit are identified, and modeling of the nuclear-peripheral structure of the concept "term" is carried out. The problems of the formation and functioning of English-language construction terminology, as well as the factors that determine these processes, are identified. The linguistic features of the terminological apparatus of the construction industry are analyzed, as well as ways of translating construction terms from English into Russian.
