STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF NOMINATIVE UNITS OF THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE LINGUO-CULTURAL SCENARIO "CULTURES"

The purpose of the study is to determine the structural and semantic characteristics of nominative units, which are the means of linguistic representation of the English-language linguo-cultural scenario "Cultures". The identification of the main directions of grouping nominative units allowed us to build a frame scheme of supporting concepts and sub-concepts of the script, which found linguistic embodiment in nominal and verbal nominative units grouped in the form of compositional and structural blocks. The author concentrates on the structural and semantic characteristics of one-word and super-word nominative units of nominal and verbal character. The scientific novelty of the study is that in line with the application of a comprehensive cognitive-cultural approach to language material, the English-language linguistic and cultural scenario "Cultures" is described as a cognitive scheme of the speech situation, which allows us to identify the features of the structure and content of nominative units. As a result of the conducted research, a slight predominance of nominal language units over verbal ones was established, associated with their ease of pronouncing and brevity in speech, as well as the predominant use of separately formed nominative units, which allow to fully and accurately convey the structure of the nomination object.
