ADDITIONS TO THE GENEALOGICAL TREE STUDY OF THE BADMAEVS – THE FOUNDERS OF TIBETAN MEDICINE IN RUSSIA

Each nation has striking personalities who left a large and useful mark in the history of the state. By studying their activities, we pay tribute to these people and hope that the people's spring of creative personalities will not ever run dry. This paper presents the origin and formation of the unique family of Badmaevs – the founders of Tibetan medicine in Russia. Thanks to the descendants of this family Tibetan medicine has spread abroad as well. We are making additions to the pre-revolutionary era of the Badmaevs' genealogical tree. Based on the studied archival and personal documents, we can assess the positive significance of activities of the described representatives of the lineage. Everyone on his way contributed to the cultural and social development of the Buryat people. And the main achivement of the seventh son of Dansuukhanov Badma - Petr Alexandrovich Badmaev (Zhamsaran), was to continue the noble legacy of his elder brother Alexander Alexandrovich Badmaev (Sultim). It was Peter Badmaev who came up with the idea to combine and scientifically unify the two world medical systems - Tibetan and European. He emphasized the great importance of the synthesis of this knowledge for more effective treatment of numerous ailments. His far-sighted decision was an attempt to officially organize the comprehensive training of a Tibetan medicine doctor. Thus, by preserving the noble memory of these people, relying on their historical experience, we do not lose continuity and actively strive to create a more progressive society and a brighter future for our country.
