The problem of difficulty of the translation into Chinese is raised in this article. Using the translation of a play of words from Renat Valliulin’s text “Where Kisses Lie down. Paris.” we have demonstrated different strategies of translation: a verbal translation, a method of compensation, a descriptive method and a free translation. It has been made the conclusion in this article that for the reconstruction of the author’s manner of the narration it is necessary to use a free translation of an extended metaphor and a calambour where the emotionality of the text dominates the plan of the contents.
