PECULIARITIES OF APPLICATION OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF INDIVIDUAL TRAJECTORIES IN TEACHING A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO TECHNICAL STUDENTS

The article is devoted to the study of the features of the application of technologies of individual trajectories in teaching a foreign language to students of technical specialties. The author substantiates the relevance and practical significance of the research topic. It is noted that the trend of modern education is the transition to an individually-oriented paradigm, broadcast in the educational standards of higher education through the prism of the concept of an individual learning path. The position regarding the value of this concept is substantiated, special emphasis is placed on the possibility of training by introducing its foundations into the educational practice of interdisciplinary personnel. It is suggested that in order to scale up such practice in modern STEM-oriented universities, there is a need to develop the idea of an approach that involves the use of an individual learning path in a disciplinary (interdisciplinary) context, that is, as a standalone technology. An author's approach to the content of the category "technology of an individual learning path" is being developed. The specifics of the application of this technology are illustrated by the example of a foreign language – a subject that has a directly interdisciplinary approach. An algorithm for its practical implementation is being developed for a specific pedagogical experience – teaching a foreign language to students of technical specialties. It concludes on the need to develop a group and personal checklist to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the application of the technology of individual trajectories in teaching students of STEM specialties.
