In real life, any activity is almost always conscious and purposeful, work is done in order to achieve a certain goal, the resources necessary to perform this work are limited. Quite often, there are several ways to manage resources, and one would like to do it in a "better" way. The organization of the educational process is an important component of the teacher's activity. In many ways, his practical activity, which, of course, is influenced by various factors, for example, a lesson started on time, a clear organization of the stages of the lesson, the technologies and teaching methods used, etc., is itself an important factor influencing the quality of knowledge students. At the same time, the activity of the teacher is quite regulated. As for resource limitations, this is, first of all, the number of hours allotted for the study of the subject (section, topic). The formation of a set of practical tasks falls entirely on the teacher himself and is subjective, based on his experience and available teaching materials. The paper proposes an optimization model for substantiating the composition of tasks in the study of a topic (section) on the subject. The results of the study were used in the development of educational and methodological support for individual sections of disciplines.

Keywords:task types, numerical information processing methods, optimization model.
