PARALLEL NARRATIVE IN NOVELS “KUKOTSKY'S CASE" AND "JACOB'S LADDER" BY L. ULITSKAYA

The article is devoted to the study of the parallel narrative in family novels "Kukotsky's Case" and "Jacob's Ladder" by L. Ulitskaya. The article considers the plot-compositional structure and the different connections between parallel storylines in two novels. In the novel "Kukotsky's Case" the author identifies the writer's modification of the romantic world duality, which is the narrative principle of the novel associated with the writer's own worldview. The novel "Jacob's Ladder" is characterized by a montage composition, a combination of the narrator's discourse and epistolary text, as well as the dialogue in several aspects.
