The article presents a cognitive-semiotic analysis of the vocabulary of taste perception of the Sakha language based on the material of a large explanatory dictionary of the Sakha language and fiction. Taste in this approach is considered not only a physiological, but also a linguocultural sign with a dynamic meaning. As a result of the study, semiotic-cognitive models of transformation of signs-indexes of the linguistic worldview of the Sakha peoples into signs-symbols expressing various manifestations of the external and internal world of a person in fiction are identified.
